As someone who has always had a passion for baseball, I am grateful for the experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. One of the most influential experiences was when my family hosted minor league players in our home. Living with them taught me not only about the game, but also about the commitment and hard work required to achieve success.
I have been playing baseball since I was a child, often playing catch in the backyard with my Dad and my Grandpa. It was during these moments that my love for the sport truly ignited. I quickly realized that baseball was more than just a game to me, it was a way of life. Through the years I have learned valuable lessons about teamwork, perseverance and dedication. I have also discovered a lot about myself, including my strengths and weaknesses, both as a player and as a person.
One of the biggest obstacles I have faced was moving from Seattle to Boise. Leaving my hometown and the familiarity of everything I knew was difficult, but it also taught me the importance of adapting to new situations. I quickly learned that stepping out of my comfort zone was necessary for growth and development. Through this experience I have become a more resilient and adaptable person, able to handle any challenge that comes my way.
Overall, my passion for baseball has taught me so much about myself and the world around me. I am grateful for the friends I have made, the lessons I have learned, and the opportunities that have come my way. I am excited to see where my love for the sport will take me in the future, and I am confident that I am prepared for anything that comes my way, and to be a leader at the next level.
