I’m a 6'0” 165lbs 17-year-old baseball player from Rathdrum, ID. I will graduate in the class of 2023. Sports have played a huge role in my life and have helped shape me into who I am today. Baseball has been a deep passion of mine from a very young age. I first fell in love with the game at the age of four and I have continued to love and pursue my passion. I have played baseball for ten years now, with my competitive travel ball starting at nine. Baseball is very important to me for numerous reasons, but the biggest one is how it taught me about life. I’ve played many other sports such as basketball, cross country, golf, and soccer. All of those are quality sports, but for me, baseball is the only sport that gives me a fire in my stomach and makes me want more. More importantly, baseball teaches me how to fight through the ups and downs and learn how to deal with failure. I feel that the biggest contributing factors that help me play baseball at a high level is by me being coachable, motivated, and my leadership
Unlike a lot of other recruits, I put in just as much effort in the classroom, as I do on the field. I believe that academics is an important attribute to have if you want to be a high performing athlete. Academics also opens up doors for me such as when I was recognized for the National Junior Honors Society. So I will continue to strive in the classroom, so I can continue to build on a good work ethic and good habits.
My goal has been to play baseball at the collegiate level for any college that will push me to be my best self and push me out of my comfort zone. Also, one that I can exceed athletically and academically. However, I would like to attend college in the West region because I want to be closer to my family and where I grew up. I will also be looking for a college that can help me pursue my major in exercise science.
I am very driven to pursue my dreams in both academics and athletics. My goal is to keep challenging myself on and off the field to become the best version of me. Lastly, whatever college I may go to I will make sure I represent myself and the school very well.
