Preston Sewell '22 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has always been a part of my life, no matter what I’m doing, baseball is always in my mind. Ever since I was little I’ve always been competitive as a player, teammate, and even in the classroom. I am always looking to make myself better in every way, but also my teammates, I like to push them to be the best versions of themselves that they can be. I started travel baseball at the age of 9, with a group of teammates and coaches that I will always be grateful for.  These coaches helped us understand the fundamentals of the game of baseball at such a young age that it really sparked my love for the game more than anything else. Our team wasn’t just fundamentally sound though, but physically as well. Even to this day I am always improving myself mentally and physically, in my down time I lift, spend time with friends, play video games, and watch baseball videos, specifically made by Trevor Bauer about the science of the game. As of writing this I am a Junior attending Belvidere North High School, playing on the Varsity level as the starting catcher.
