Hello, my name is Ryan Fitzgerald. I am 5'7'' tall and weigh 160 lbs. I am a Junior at Streamwood High school class of 2017. I have been playing baseball for 10 years and will continue to play through high school. My primary position is 2nd base an I am also a 3rd baseman as well. I have many goals that i want to accomplished. My primary goal is to major in Education and to play baseball at the collegiate level and beyond. These have been my top goals since I started baseball.
When it comes to school it takes high priority to my family and I. I am great as could be at school. Right now my GPA is at a 4.0. I have kept this GPA at the highest through the years. I try my hardest at school everyday. I am in a program called AVID, and this class helps prepare me to be ready for college. We take college trips to universities that we can possibly pursue at. With the help of AVID school is easy as can be. All of my teachers look at me as a "leader". My teachers hope that I continue to be a "leader" in the years to come. High school has taught me a lot this year about myself. In class, my teachers see my real colors. They know and I know that I work hard no matter what. Right now, I am able to keep myself both academically and athletically ready for my future.
When it comes to baseball, it's a whole different story. I am very dedicated to the game of baseball. All of my teachers and family members know how dedicated I am. All I talk about at school is baseball, baseball, baseball! Now whenever I have baseball practice, I give my best at all times. At school I work in the weightroom with my baseball team once a week, and we do plyos twice a week as well. On Tuesdays and Fridays we go to open gyms to throw and hit at six in the morning. Outside of school i train in Huntley for speed and agility 3-4 times a week for an hour. Every week i am always on my feet or doing homework. I am very dedicated to improving my game as a ball player.
I hope to have a successful career later in life. I hope to play at the collegiate level while majoring in Education. I know that in order to accomplish these goals of mine, I would have to put in a bunch of hard work and time just to get these goals accomplished. I am willing to give it my best at all times. So far with me being the '' Student Of The Year" in eight grade, and being the honored by my coaches as "Chief of the Tribe" with the Illinois Indians both of these compelling weapons can be a big boast and a great start to my big and bright future.
