School hasn’t always come easy to me. I have struggled academically with test anxiety and small attention deficit barrier that I have had to work very hard to overcome. I give my best in the classroom, working hard with different skills and coping mechanisms to ensure I do my best. This same work ethic and desire to do the best I can has helped me on the field.
Athletics has been a great tool for me as well. It has taught me how to be a great leader not only in sports but with my family, friends and being disciplined in my faith. I struggled with an injury from football this past year, breaking my non-throwing wrist, but it didn’t stop me from working hard each day to get better. It taught me that you can learn from setbacks. Wether it was physical therapy or working on my baseball skills in a cast, I never gave up, using it as motivation to be stronger mentally and physically when I was able to play again.
I am humbled to have been blessed with some God given talent, but I don’t take it for granted. I feel like I must work harder knowing I have been given some gifts to fully meet my potential on and off the field.
I think I would be a great candidate to play baseball in college because I put the team before me and feel like I have a lot of growth yet to come. I am committed to work hard, lead, and play to the best of my ability in every workout, practice and game. I will always leave everything out on the field!
Thank you for your time and any opportunity you may have to play at the next level.
