My name is Jake Stadler, a junior (2020) at Mt. Vernon High School in Central Indiana. I am a left-handed hitting catcher and 1st basemen. I play for the Indiana Bulls in the summer and with the San Francisco Giants Upperclass Scout Team in the fall. I am always looking to improve my game, like going to speed and agility lessons twice a week along with catching, fielding, and hitting lessons throughout the week. I am a very good student (3.6 GPA) and take honors classes. I am also part of the the Marauder Mentors and Best Buddies programs through my school, and I volunteer at the local soup kitchen with my high school teammates. I have high aspirations and high expectations of myself because I believe I have what it takes to play baseball at the highest level and would love to someday help my team get to the College World Series in Omaha. I am a very good teammate, and I am very coachable. Whenever my teammate makes a mistake or gets down on himself, I am always the first one to comfort him and help build him up. I am also the first one to congratulate him on a job well done. If a coach tries to critique or coach me, I am all ears and open to any improvements he may offer me. In conclusion, I am overall a good student, well-rounded, and I believe I would be a tremendous asset to a college baseball program and look forward to showing you that I can play at the next level.
