I’ve been involved in baseball since I was 5 years old. It has played a huge role in my life for as long as I can remember. Sports in general have had a big influence on my life. Being a part of many baseball, basketball, and football teams has shown me the importance of working together as a team, and being a good teammate. I’ve learned that putting yourself before the team is never the right choice, and helping lift the team up is always going to be the better choice. I have also helped coach Special Olympics sports and it has taught me so many valuable life lessons that I’ve carried with me in all aspects of my life. Spending time with those who aren’t as fortunate has really shown me to not take anything for granted, especially my physical abilities. I’ve learned that working hard to be the best you can be and working through tough times is a very important aspect of not just baseball, but life. I carry this with me at all times and it has become a big part of who I am today, and who I want to become in the future.
