Personal Statement

My name is Ryan Missal, I am a 2017 grad at Lowell High School and a 2 year varsity starter. Defensively I have the ability to play anywhere you put me in the OF.  Wherever I'm playing I'm always trying my hardest to get the out.  I have a great ability to track the ball very well, and always field it cleanly.  My speed is also always a big help in the OF running a 6.6 60.  When I'm playing you'll hear me, either calling a ball, letting my teammates know they had a good play, or just simply saying how many outs we have. Playing CF mostly makes me take on a leadership role out there, I also carry this role on and off the field.  I strive to make myself and my teammates the best we can be, because baseball is a team sport and we train together and push eachother to become the best.

Offensively I have always been a big hitter for any team I'm on, I can hit situationally for contact and power, (plus I can bunt because of my speed.)  You'll usually see me either batting 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th.  Mostly in the 3 hole I am coming up to bat to drive in my teammates to help out our pitcher and to get the better advantage for my team score wise. The past 3 years I have lead my team in batting average, doubles, triples, home runs. I have always had a high batting average which is hard to maintain during High School being in such a good conference and my travel team (Indiana Chiefs) we play tough competition.  Also, I led my team in steals, having some speed helps when I only hit a single I'm usually going first pitch.  My base running has improved a lot over the years, and this year I think I have finally been great on the bases, with my speed really improved and my ability to get great jumps.

Off the field I am working hard in school, maintaining a 3.5 GPA during season, and creating great relationships with my teachers.  Being a role model to the underclassman this is important to me.  I want to do my best on and off the field for the people that look up to me.  Education is a major factor in my college decision, I want a school where I can create a great relationship with the teachers and coaches that push me to do my best.  My goal is to earn a scholarship and to play at the collegiate level, I would like a college or university I can attend and upon graduation, I will be set for life.  I feel I have much to offer my future education institution and teammates.  I look forward to speaking with you regarding available opportunities, thank you.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
