College Recruitin...Personal Statement
I love baseball. Baseball has taught me that sometimes my failures are actually progress. I no longer view a missed swing as a failure, but a way to successfully identify what did not work, which brings me closer to what will work. One of my favorite baseball memories was winning the Grand Slam World Series in Panama City, Florida, and being named tournament MVP.
One of my unique abilities is my near ambidextrous hands. I throw and hit baseball left-handed, but I shoot basketball and write right-handed. I won the State of Indiana, Knights of Columbus, Free Throw State Championship. My activities in student council, Citizens Against Substance Abuse, student ambassador, Leadership in Law, All Saints Parish, and Family Career and Community Leaders of America have taught me the virtues of honesty, courage, and charity. My academic goals are to earn a degree in engineering and a master's degree in business. I have a 4.2 GPA on a 4.3 scale and take college credit classes. In the weight room I deadlift 365 and squat 325.
