Silas Shear '12 Recruiting Profile

I am about 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. While I was a freshman I was mostly a utility man but I also was the DH for about a third of the season. Last year when I was a sophomore I started every game and was the starting catcher for the sectional championship game. In my junior year I played every position except for first base and recieved first team all conference. I have a good overall skill of the game with good athleticism and I can play almost any position. I have ran the 60 yard dash in 7.15 seconds, my pop time has been recorded at 2.07, and I have thrown 79mph to first base from shortstop. I am a left handed hitter with good mechanics and quick hands with some power potential. I would like to go to college so I can get a good education which will help me later in life. As of right now I want to study business.
