Personal Statement
I have loved the game of baseball my entire life, and have been playing since I was 4 years old, elite ball since I was 7. I am so grateful for all the teammates and coaches I have built relationships with over the years and have made great friends. I believe that success comes from hard work and dedication, but it also has to be fun. I have had to face adversity over the years and it taught me to work hard, train hard, and use tough times as fuel. It also taught me to be humbled by all of the opportunities I have been given. Most of my best memories involve the game of baseball and I will do what it takes to continue playing baseball for as long as I can. I am passionate, committed, serious when needed, and fun to be around when it is acceptable. I am well-liked by teammates, coaches, and teachers, and like to think that I have earned the respect of many. I encourage others and am proud of my teammates when they have success. I do not like making errors, striking out, or losing; but I know these aspects of the game also are teachable moments. I love how baseball has made me a great athlete, but more importantly a better person. I would say my best quality is my kind and funny nature. I make people laugh and can easily pick up teammates when needed.
