As a young boy, I watched my dad’s entire family play baseball, and I was even more drawn to the sport as I watched my younger brother play. Ever since I first stepped onto a baseball field at seven years old, I’ve fallen in love with every aspect of baseball. This great sport has taught me life lessons and core values that I can take with me my whole life; valuing respect, humility, self-discipline, and above all, brotherhood. Because of baseball, I have never seen any race, color, or status of a peer as inferior or superior, seeing everyone worthy of respect and dignity. My perspective on this subject as well as my outlook on life has been shaped by the motivation of my parents, who continue to push me in a positive direction, and I can never thank them enough for that. My faith is another factor that deeply influences my life, knowing that every decision I make reflects how important God is to me, and everything that happens to me is part of His great plan. My academic goals include gaining the highest GPA, SAT, and ACT scores I can, going onto college to study exercise science in pursuit of a career in physical therapy, while being a dynamic player with a positive impact on my team and my school.
