Personal Statement
My name is Andrew Kalan Morgos, and I live and breathe baseball. I play varsity baseball, along with varsity football, at the International School of Brussels. My goal is to play collegiate baseball while participating in an ROTC program.
Academically:
Academically I am sound. I had a 3.4 GPA my freshman year of highschool. This year I take honors math and plan on taking honors math, physics, and chemistry next year. I have participated in multiple academic extra-curriculars, including MUN, speech and debate, and the World Scholars-Cup. I have never struggled with balancing sports and academics.
Athletically:
Athletically, I am strong and improving. I have played sports every year since kindergarten. Currently, I participate in varsity baseball, varsity football, club ice hockey, and plan on trying out for varsity rugby. In addition to this I lift weights in my free time. My goals revolve around baseball, with a strong emphasis on mobility and athleticism.
Character:
I am a team player. I am always either helping struggling team mates, or taking advice from coaches and team mates. When I struggle on the field I keep my cool instead of losing my composure, and focus on feedback I receive. On the field I am always calling the play or communicating with my team. Off the field, I am constantly looking for every opportunity to improve. I spend most of my free time either watching film, putting in hours, or lifting weights. I am willing to make extensive sacrifices for my team.
Thank you for your time, I look forward to learning more about my opportunities at the next level.
