I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel and play baseball extensively in Canada, Mexico and the US. I represented Canada at the LLWS 2017, I played key positions with the Cascade Crush a top 5 ranked travel team in Washington State (10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14u & 16U), NorCal Black 16U and represented the State of Jalisco, MX in the men’s league all-star game (March 2019, player of the game). Playing at a high level in a diverse environment has led to many fantastic relationships and many cultural/sports experiences that have shaped me as a person and player. These experiences helped me grow immensely by teaching me to work hard to achieve my goals, perform on a big stage under any circumstances, and cherish every moment of the experience.
I attend St. Georges School in Vancouver BC, a leading international university prep school, with students from 22 different countries. At Saints there is a focus on building well-rounded men of character with a very high rigor around academic excellence. Virtually all graduates go on to attend leading universities around the world. My high school goals are to continue to develop as a well-rounded student athlete (i.e. 90+ average, varsity teams of baseball and basketball), which will prepare me for university and beyond.
There are many obstacles that I have had to overcome, which are highlighted below. Recovering from injury, working through the recovery program, managing time effectively while playing multiple sports including traveling to US for practice 3 times a week (2.5 plus hours round trip driving). And finally maintaining a high academic excellences throughout.
I have two very high skill characteristic. The first is quickly and fully incorporating coaching into mechanical or mental adjustments and the second is exceptional hand eye coordination. I am confident I will be a good team mate and leading contributor to the college program I am fortunate enough to attend.
