Personal Statement
I am an American citizen but I have been raised in Medellin, Colombia.
I am a very good student with a 3.4 gpa out of 4. I am also completely fluent in both English and Spanish.
I am proud that as an American I have grown up learning to play Latin baseball yet I respect the game like an American. We share baseball mitts and equipment as well as practice with poor lights, rocky infield and very used balls that many times have no covers. I think that makes my hands better and I appreciate any opportunity to play in the States because everything is so perfect compared to third-world baseball. Although I love the fun we have playing baseball here in Colombia.
I am wanting to play for D1 baseball. I have the ability, high grades and academics to help any team both on the field and in the classroom along with their team gpa. I am a very serious hard worker. Fortunately my parents are well enough that I do not need a scholarship to go to the university however as I keep playing I hope to prove that I will earn one.
