Personal Statement
Since I started playing baseball in the UK I've always loved the game, and the more and more I played it the more I fell in love with the wide array of aspects that come with the game. As I became exposed to higher levels of the game in Britain the more the idea of playing collegiate baseball in the US appealed to me. Not only do I play Baseball at a high level, I also start for Rugby on the 1st Team at one of the most prestigious Rugby schools in the country. I believe that I have worked my way into these teams due to my high work rate and coach-ability meaning I'm always hungry to get better.
Academically in the UK the education system is different, however I still performed in my GCSE's to the equivalent of a 3.5 GPA. Due to playing baseball as well I know and am friends with people who go to an American School in Britain, due to this I have a good understanding about the American system, so I believe it wouldn't take me very long to adjust to the style of it.
Finally I would just like to say that one of the reasons I enjoy baseball so much as a sport is because its fun, this being said I know that when work needs to be done, you have to get it done, this kind of athletic discipline was instilled from 6th Grade for me at St Benedict's and frankly I love it because it makes the fun parts of Baseball even more fun.
