Callum Howell '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I'm Callum Howell, a 2023 graduate. I'm Australian and am enrolled in the International Baccalaureate [IBDP] Diploma program, in The Netherlands.  I have played baseball for the past 3 years; before that, I played: soccer, golf and swimming. Once I started playing, I knew that I loved the sport of baseball and wanted to go to college to improve my skills and play competitively.  I hope to later go D1, as first I am looking to go to Junior College to further develop as an individual, as a player and pursue studies in the field of Business (management).  I am a team player on the pitch, as a shortstop, for my club in The Netherlands.  I work hard both on and off the pitch and respectfully encourage other players to do so too.  I will bring passion and drive to your team, you will also gain a committed team player both on and off the pitch.  I pride myself in having a positive mindset, and not letting errors get to me or my team mates, instead, take the opportunity to learn through them.  I have batting and fielding training, with a former major league player (Cubs) in The Netherlands, which I drive two hours and fifteen minutes for, either way, every second Sunday.  I love supporting others while receiving as much baseball knowledge as possible, which I easily and quickly adapt to and apply.
