Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Abe Squire, DOB October 3rd, 2004. I play 1b, 3b, and pitcher. I am currently studying at Bunker Hill Community College, and playing on their baseball team. I am looking for a 4 year school that is the right fit both athletically and academically.
You will see from my schooling, my club baseball achievements, and my involvement with baseball organisations that I am very passionate and committed to baseball. I love learning about all aspects of the game and baseball history. I strive to do better and improve my baseball, listening carefully to coaches and advice from team members. I also pride myself on being a good person both on and off the field. I am a team player, and always take pride in representing my team/club.
I want to further my baseball at the highest level and believe that attending college in America would provide the best possible path for me to achieve this.
Seaton High School
I graduated from Seaton High School in December of 2022. Seaton High School is the largest specialist baseball school in Australia, with a number of graduates going on to play at the collegiate and pro level in the US and other countries. I was selected into this specialist program at the age of 13 and have continued to stay in the program by maintaining my grades and improving my baseball skills and abilities. During my enrolment, I have also been selected to be a part of an inaugural industry pathway program with a Baseball/Softball focus called Diamond Sport Pathway. This will provide me with a vocational qualification in Event Management and contribute to my final Certificate of Education as well as furthering my baseball skills and knowledge. During my studies, I have also achieved
Basic coaching level qualification
Level 1 Scoring (Aus)
Level 0 Umpiring (Aus)
Participation in 4 Shark Cup’s – an annual feeder baseball program and tournament for primary children, grades 5-7 where I conducted skills sessions; coached a team during the tournaments; scored games; was part of the grounds crew.

Port Adelaide District Baseball Club – The Magpies
I have played for the Magpies since I was 9 years old, at junior level and over the last 2 years have been elevated to senior level while continuing to also play juniors. In the 2020/21 season I won the Trevor Sims perpetual trophy awarded to the Most Valuable U16/18 player, a great honour in the club. In the same season, I also hit my first senior home run and got my first A Grade hit.
