Personal Statement
I was born in Brazil, a country that is not as familiar with baseball as it is with soccer. Despite that, I was already interested in baseball soon after I was born. Since then, baseball has been a big part of my life.
Although none of my relatives has or had any connection / experience with baseball, with all the support from my family, I was able to experience the World Cup twice, as the national team member of Japan. Because I am Japanese, I have been strictly taught to play “for the team” and to keep team discipline. It is natural for me to prioritize and play for the team and the team’s victory. I make use of my left-hitter potential as a strong point and contribute to the team very well.
I am a high school student attending an international school, the American School In Japan (ASIJ). I achieve GPA scores that reflect the efforts I put in my classes. My family, including myself, we consider academics significantly, as an essential source for life. Therefore, playing baseball as a college student is the best fit for me overall. I am looking for a college where I can be satisfied with both sport and studies and has a baseball team that can improve my skills efficiently.
Ultimately I want to be a worldwide person, being loved and respected by everyone around me.
