Personal Statement
My name is Philip Arturi. I am currently a graduate from Our Lady Queen of The World Catholic Academy in Toronto, Canada. I would like to pursue an undergrad degree in Kinesiology, followed by a graduate degree in Physiotherapy. It has always been a dream of mine to play college baseball at the D1 or D2 level in the United States since I started playing baseball. I started playing ball at the age of 10 and since then my love and passion for the game has continued to grow. I currently play for the Ontario Blue Jays an elite team in the CPBL (Canadian Premier Baseball League).
Having had physiotherapy in the past has shown me a way to combine my love of sports with the ability help athletes achieve their dreams and goals. Sports physiotherapy improves the ability of the body to deal with high physical stress demanded by competitive sports. My volunteering at both the local baseball league and at my elite organization has strengthened my love of the game because I was able to help younger players develope their skills and learn more about the game of baseball.
I am prepared for the hard work and challenges that are ahead on my journey to play baseball at the collegiate level.
