Personal Statement

My name is Nicholas Larson, I am 20 years old and I live in Zurich, Switzerland.  

I am an American Citizen, but I was born and raised in Switzerland and have lived here all my life.

I grew up speaking both German and English and went through the Swiss school system.

I recently completed a four-year apprenticeship and received Swiss Federal Certification as a draftsman. I currently work for a civil engineering company in this capacity on a full-time basis.

I also play baseball. After playing on local Swiss clubs for six years, I moved to a team that plays in the German Bundesliga as I was not happy with the level of competition in the Swiss leagues. I am a right-handed pitcher and also play 1st base. I have appeared on Swiss national teams at both junior (U-18) and senior levels and I am currently on the roster of the Swiss Men’s National Team.

To further enhance my development as a player, and to gain additional education, I want to attend college in the United States. Ideally, I would also play baseball. My questions to you is this:
