I am very interested in playing baseball beyond high school. I am currently a 6'8"-16 year old left hander with size 18 shoes. I have a 6'10" wingspan and my hand measures 9.25 inches from palm to tip of middle finger. I am currently a three sport athlete playing both basketball, baseball and soccer I just started playing soccer on the high school golf team this spring. I played varsity basketball as a freshman and a sophomore this year. I'm currently on the sophomore baseball team starting at first base and pitching. I also participated in Tae Kwon Do for several years reaching the temporary black belt level. All of these sports have taught me discipline and how to be humble.
A life changing moment for me was meeting and learning from Coach K at Duke Basketball Camp as a 7th grader. I was able to play with all high school players and learned so much from a variety of coaches and players. Even though it was a different sport than baseball there are so many things about life that come through in what Coach K teaches.
My skill set as an athlete has been centered around my: drive, positive attitude and perspective. I am grateful that my dad has coached one of my travel ball teams the past 7-years and we have successfully won several tournaments in our time playing together. My travel teams consist of kids that come from strong families and kids that come from challenging home lives. These have given me a unique perspective on life and its challenges. Academics are very important to me, as I have earned Academic Excellence with a 4.0 the last two years in school. I am in Honors Language Arts and Math courses and have participated in National History Day the past two years. I finished 4 years of Spanish in my Freshman year. I'm have also been active in band and chorus.
During the 2020-2021 high school basketball team I was fortunate enough to make the varsity basketball team. I started two games during the season. This was a rewarding and challenging experience playing with players 3-4 years older than me. I am very proud that I also on the All Academic Team for the Conference.
My collegiate goals include: going to a 4-year University with a strong Business/Engineering program, that has a strong baseball program. I want to make a difference playing for and helping the team win a championship.
I would like to give you what I consider to be the top 3 reasons why you should consider me playing for your team:
1. Positive attitude/very coachable/team player
2. Academic Excellence
3. Physical attributes
I would forever be grateful for the opportunity to play baseball in college and look forward to discuss this with you further.
