I was holding a baseball before I even knew what a baseball was. Growing up surrounded by baseball has helped drive my passion for the sport. I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old. It is very common to find me in the cage at home after a weekend of baseball working on improving my game. I believe you need to practice more than you play. You have to work because your competition is. Making the freshman baseball team as an 8th grader in a very competitive and talented baseball community has started my high school season off right.
Being smaller does not define me, it means I work twice as hard to get where I have been and where I intend to go. I have never let my size determine what I can or cannot do. I set goals and focus on how to achieve them. Past coaches have been completely surprised by my skills due to forming an initial opinion based on my size. I focus on the mental side of the game (baseball IQ) and make defense a huge priority to my game.
I am open to schools of all sizes and locations at this time. I am planning to pursue a degree in the sports field- possibly physical therapy or sports management. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
