Baseball has been a huge part of my life ever since I was four. Some people consider baseball just a hobby, but baseball to me is a dream come true. When I was younger I grew up watching my favorite team, the New York Yankees. Watching Derek Jeter fly around the infield making all these crazy plays inspired me to try my best and do whatever I could to be like him. I would always go out to the backyard and play catch with my dad and try to recreate all of the crazy plays he was making. I have learned a lot about baseball since I was younger. One of the most important things that I have learned while on my path to success playing baseball is that not only is baseball hard physically but baseball is very hard mentally. As an 8th grader playing varsity baseball, I have learned that both of these aspects of the game constantly will need to be worked on in order for me to get to the places I want to be.
