This year was definitely the highlight of my baseball career. Playing for Iowa City West having placed 1st in Conference and third at the State tournament allowed me the opportunity to show what I was capable of. Playing with other skilled athletes really pushed me to compete and overcome challenges to become a better player. It also taught me the lesson that if you can't do the little things right, you will never be able to do the big things right. It is something that I carry with me while I work year-round practicing the fundamentals and honing my skills in order to compete at a college level.
I am very grateful to have been a part of one of the best programs in the state that repeatedly competes well in baseball at the 4A level, with multiple appearances at the state tournament and going to the semifinals for most of them. The Iowa City West baseball organization has really allowed me to achieve my potential. I am looking for a program that is going to help me achieve my goals, not only on the baseball field, but academically in the STEM field. Not only do I have what it takes to compete at a college level both athletically and academically with the tenacity to succeed and a positive attitude. I enjoy bringing energy and fun into the game I love, because that is what baseball is all about.
