Drake VanMeter '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a hard-working kid that loves to compete and get better at everything I do. Baseball has been a passion of mine ever since I’ve been able to remember, and playing at the collegiate level is a dream of mine and has been a dream of mine ever since I was a little kid. I do not want my baseball career to end after high school and I am willing to do whatever it takes to earn a spot on a team to fulfill my lifelong goal of playing at the next level. Making my younger self proud is something I try and do each day, and I know by playing college baseball I would definitely be making younger Drake proud. I take pride in getting better and I strive to become the best version of myself I can be on and off the field. I challenge myself to become a better baseball player each day by giving 100% of my effort on every rep and focusing on the drills at hand.  School work is also something that has always been important to me. Junior year of high school has always been noted as the hardest, but I took the initiative to earn a 4.0 GPA both semesters of my junior year. I did all of my assignments and also took time to study and prepare for tests.
