Jett Hand '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old. Baseball has been a constant in my life. Playing baseball at the college level is a goal that I set for myself as a very young athlete. As I start this process of recruitment, I know it will be a challenging and competitive process. I have always been very passionate and motivated by sports. I feel I am honest about my skills, open to direction and always working to improve. I am known as one of the hardest working athletes in my high school. I am very competitive by nature.

I have always been looked to as a role model for my attendance and work athletic on and off the field. I am known as coachable, accountable, a strong leader and an encouraging teammate. If given the opportunity to meet you, you will find that I thrive in competitive situations and that I will work hard for you as both a player and as an individual. I will be committed to the success of your program.

Academically, I work to maintain a high GPA (3.49). When I am not playing hard in sports, I enjoy working out, lifting weights and cooking. I also serve my community’s youth baseball, basketball, and football programs by coaching, officiating and working camps. I have always enjoyed interacting with kids. My dad is a high school coach so my perspective on how the game is to be played started early. I am currently a member of the National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, I have served on mission trips with my church, and I volunteer at a local retirement home.

I am working to be recruited at the highest level of competition possible to a college with coaches who will push to improve me as an athlete, challenge me as a player, and invest in me as an individual. I am looking for a reputable college that will be a platform for my future success . I am excited and open to this journey that is ahead of me and I hope that we might get the opportunity to meet in person.
