Austin Gilbert '25 Recruiting Profile

My love of baseball was deeply influenced by my grandfather, Charlie Adkins, who pitched for Morehead State University and was later drafted by the Reds. My goal is to follow in his footsteps and play baseball competitively at the next level in college. I feel like I am a good candidate for college ball because of my dedication and desire to always get better. There is always a new level of skill to achieve so I never stop working hard. I understand that Baseball is not the only thing in life. I have worked hard to balance athletics with high grades and a good moral community reputation.  I appreciate and have enjoyed everyone who has contributed to and impacted my baseball career. I cannot wait to see what what the future holds.
