My name is Jacob Smith. I am a senior.
Traveling around the states to play against more skilled players was the highlight of my time as a high-schooler. However, I have never felt as much growth as when I was struggling to be accurate and confident. That was truly the experience that had helped me grow and refocus on becoming a pitcher capable of playing with people at the college level.
I was fortunate enough to have a great coach that was able to help me pinpoint the mistakes I made. I was able to be committed and to sacrifice the time I had in order to become better. I am looking for a program that will be good for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I have the talent to be a pitcher that can compete for a college team. Not only physically but mentally as well. As someone who has seen talent go to waste, I know that mentally is a major part of the game.
