Nathan Verst '14 Recruiting Profile

I am now in my senior year 2013-2014. In my Sophomore year in high school . I still want to play baseball on the next level. 2011-2012 summers I was starting pitcher along with lead off hitter for my summer team Bluegrass Lions U16 team in SWOL AABC. I did play as a freshman on varsity & jv teams at my HS. I started at second base in the All " A " KY. state Championship game last spring as a Freshman. What a great experience. Also,  When I was 13, I won golden arm award for most accurate long throws from outfield in Knoxville, TN. Showcase. This year my best pitched game was 11 strike outs at Georgetown College in Ky for my U15 summer team. Also this year I was awarded the CABA world series batting champion award for highest batting average in the 7 games tourney in Springfield, Ohio. End Soph. regular season, 2012, pitching record at 8-0 on varsity and awarded best defensive player on team as SS & 2nd.Then starting pitcher in 10th regional championship game 5/31/12 and won 4-3 vs. perrenial power Harrison County, went 6 innings, 1 BB, 6 KO's. Move onto state, first time in school history. Also pitched in Ky. State semi-finals ,on 6/6/12, vs. top state contender St. X. of Louisville. pitched complete 7 inning game won 5-3 allowing 5 hits, 4 K's on. Record end of 2012 year 10-0 & 1.29 ERA. This is on video KHSAA web site. We finished 3rd in state of Ky. I was selected to the All State Tourney team in my sophmore year. Most exciting event in my life. I was nominated my junior year to ALL-State All Academic honorable mention, Ky. Enquirer all-star game, All region and best pitcher and best offensive player on the varsity team.
