Baseball is my passion. My goal is to play college ball and I am open to playing for schools on any level. I am more than willing to do the work necessary, and I hope that dedication, hard work and talent will get me there. I am a leader and always try to be an example both on and off the field. I've worked extremely hard in the classroom and currently have a 3.20 GPA after my sophomore year of high school. I feel like I have the numbers on the field as well, hitting .320 this year, in varsity and travel ball combined. I spent most of my season at third base or on the mound, but I have extensive time behind the plate as well, and have played first base, middle infield and outfield. For the year, varsity and travel ball, I pitched in 26 games, went 5-1 and recorded a save in 2 games as well. I had a combined ERA of 2.59. I just want to help my team win and will do whatever is asked of me to help the team succeed. My high school team has gone to the State Tournament three of the last four years, and played in the championship game two of those three years. I want to help continue that winning tradition. I want to go to a college where the academic standards are very high. I push myself to be the best and I look forward to the challenge of excelling at a school that is known for it's academic excellence. I can only be the best if I surround myself with the best, so a school that demands the best from each student is the perfect scenario for me. I want the same on the field as well. I want to be part of a team that has a history of hard work and dedication, where the coaching staff cares about the progress and success of the team, the school and each player. If we don't win today, let's figure out why, and work harder tomorrow. This is true in the classroom, on the field and in life. This is my motto, and I'd like to be a part of a school and a team that feels the same way. No one on your team will work harder, both on the field and in the classroom, than I will. My hope is to complete my undergraduate career and then go on to graduate school, with the ultimate goal of becoming a doctor of psychology. I am very goal oriented, and when I set my mind to accomplish something, nothing can pull me off my path. I just hope to be able to play baseball for a team and a school that is focused on success.
