2016 Pitching Hig...Personal Statement
Hello,
I have been playing high level competitive baseball for many years and am interested in playing at the collegiate level. I am looking a university with a strong academic reputation as well as a competitive baseball program that will help me reach my full potential.
I have been fortunate to be a part of the Saint Xavier High School baseball program's winning tradition. In 2018, we had a great season (37-2) by winning the Kentucky State Baseball championship for the third time in the last five years. Unfortunately, my play was limited due to a severe ankle injury suffered playing basketball. I made the most of my opportunities on the mound and at the plate.
- Pitching: .955 ERA, 1.09 WHIP & 7Ks in 7 innings
- Hitting: .462 BA, .533 OBP & 615 SLG% in 13 ABs
I have been working very hard this off season to improve my strength & conditioning. I been able to improve my pitching, fielding & hitting velocity numbers this spring. I am looking forward to helping Saint Xavier make another championship run during my senior year.
This experience has taught me the importance of a strong work ethic in both academics and athletics. I understand the value of discipline and focus given baseball is such a challenging sport. Academically, I am considered a good student, and currently have a 3.63 GPA.
I believe that could make definite contribution to any baseball program and would appreciate any further interest and consideration.
