reece spalding '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Reece Spalding, from Louisville, Kentucky. I am a 6’ 1 160lbs junior from St Xavier High School. I have played baseball for 11 years now and my passion for the game is incredible. I have played at many different levels such as middle school baseball, high school baseball, and travel baseball. I bat left handed, but throw with my right hand. I throw between 80-84mph and run a 6.8 60 yard dash. I recently confirmed these stats at my high school evaluation practice.

This year I will be playing on a travel team out of Louisville, KY called the 16u Sun Devils which will be apart of the Marucci founders club in 2017. This year our team will travel to many different tournaments including the WWBA tournament in Atlanta, GA and several other showcase tournaments. I have played in the Cooperstown Dreams Park and the World Series tournament in Panama City, FL in 2013 and 2017. I have received multiple MVPs at the Game Day USA tournaments and attended several different invitational Game Day USA events. I am currently attending one on one lessons with ESPN's Chris Burke and I am training with my high school's person trainer coach Tronzzo. 

As a student I am in all honor classes where I maintain a 3.8 GPA. I was selected for the Duke Tip in the fall of 2015 where I took the ACT as a seventh grader. I am very dedicated to my school work which is why I have been placed in all the top classes at my high school. St Xavier is a prestigious high school that prepares you for college.

The next couple of years I am very excited too play with my high school as well as my travel team, where I can grow as a person and develop into a great baseball player.
