Alex Dietz '21 Recruiting Profile

Positive, team-oriented attitude and approach to playing baseball.  Strong student.  Willing to work hard off the field as well as on the field.  Participate in outside strength and agility training.   My brother and I started our own charity called Athletes Again where we collect used sports equipment as well as donations to help less fortunate schools with their athletic departments.  I am now the Treasurer at my high school as well as a Column Leader.  I participate in my school’s Mock Trial team in order to help educate myself in the field of law and how our court systems work.  I was selected as one of the top ten attorneys in the state in 2018.  Baseball has taught me that life is full of ups and downs and if you focus on the downs, then you’ll never succeed.  The only way to do well in life is to keep moving forward even when things aren’t going your way.  If I go 0-3 one day, I can’t take that to the next game.  Instead I have to keep a positive attitude that I am going to do better the next game.
