Getting called up to my high school varsity baseball team my Sophomore year was the highlight of my high school career so far. I feel that I grew the most as a student-athlete my sophomore year when being put in the game in difficult situations, such as a tie game in extra innings, or a one run lead in the bottom of the last inning. For example, in the tie game, one run scored off of two errors winning the other team the game. In the one run game I got brought in with two outs in the last inning and got the save. Both experiences helped me grow as a person and lead me to focus on my efforts as a Left-Handed Pitcher capable of playing at the college level.
I was very proud to be a part of this amazing team my Sophomore year. Though, we didn't make it to any championships, I learned the value of commitment, sacrifice, leadership, and being a good teammate in this past year. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me both academically and athletically. I believe that I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the work-ethic, character, and leadership skills to make an impact on your program. As a two-sport athlete, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team.
