For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for baseball. My dad played collegiate baseball, and he has not only taught me the love for the game, but also has encouraged and guided me along the way. This sport has taught me a lot. I have learned dedication, sacrifice, and how to be both a leader and a teammate. This past season, I had the opportunity to play in the Louisiana state quarterfinals. It was the greatest event of my career so far. Although we did not advance to the state championship, it was a great experience.
I’ve also learned a lot about various coaching styles and being able to adapt. Unfortunately, I have had a different coach each of my 3 years in high school. This next year, I will have my 4th head coach in 4 years. However, being a senior this next year is extremely exciting! I am hoping to help my team once again make it to the state playoffs. My two main goals are to play at the collegiate level and maintain a 3.5 GPA. I know that to compete at the next level, I have to continue to dedicate myself both athletically and academically.
