Personal Statement

Baseball has been my passion since I was 6 years old and today I enjoy playing the game the same as when I was 6. In the past 5 years I have focused on my pitching, wanting to be the best left handed pitcher I can be. I strive on the stressful situations and enjoy when the coach calls me to warm up and hands me the ball. I look forward to my training and learn as much as I can. In the offseason I continue to train and enjoy a little fishing with my dad along with spending time with my family. My goal is to be successful in the classroom, being academically strong, which I believe will transfer to the baseball field. I feel I will be a strong asset to any college baseball club and open to all divisions, but desire to be part of a program that will help me become a complete pitcher. My dream is to be on the mound pitching in the Majors. Most of all this game teaches you life and how to overcome obsticles, as well to succeed. Will Dion, LHP

Pitcher, OF, and 1st Base; Speed picked up and sees the ball off the bat well, making the right adjustments. As a left handed Pitcher, you can tell someone has worked him. This kid takes command on the mound throwing a 2 seam, 4 seam, curve, slider, and a cutter. His money pitch is his changeup. Will becomes more confident on the mound. Look forward to seeing him grow.

Pitching Conditioning and Mechanics

Jared Gautreaux, formerly of the Houston Astros and Round Rock Express, has been coaching Will for 7 years. His routines are mental focus on the mound, arm conditioning, exercises with using cross sym bands, rotator cuff care.
Advanced Hitting

In 2015 Will began working with Austin Nagle for Advanced Hitting. Austin Nagle now owns Advanced Hitting in Lake Charles, La. Being a former player for the LSU Tigers, then becoming an outstanding player in the minors and playing for the Oakland A's, he has taught Will the right approach at the plate and has built his confidence which has him leading the teams average. BB Prince and Jordan Venable were past hitting instructors, now coaching other travel ball organizations.
