Connor c baseball...Personal Statement
Since I was a child, I have always wanted to go to school for business. I hope one day to work in the family business alongside by father, older brother and sister. I hope to be able to succeed academically in college and learn skills and lessons that will help me to be successful. I also wish to make many friends and lifelong acquaintances. I am also very hopeful that I will be able to play on a collegiate baseball team. I look forward to all of the things I will learn both on and off the field and enjoy the comradery that comes with being on a team.
I feel I have many strengths both on and off the field. I am very witty and have a great sense of humor. I like to laugh but also am driven to succeed both at academics but also in baseball. I am a dedicated play; never missing a game or practice. I go to practice early and stay late in order to receive the most instruction and practice that I can. My in-fielding abilities are impressive. In fact, my nickname is 'velcro'. I am quick and agile and love to steal bases. AcademicallyI have a solid grade point average and take both AP and Honors classes. Falmouth High School is a very challenging and demanding school and I have been able to achieve a 3.2 grade point average.
I would be honored and humbled to be chosen to play at the collegiate level.

- ActivitiesRustic Pathways: Grades 9-11 Rustic Pathways is a student travel program where students get the opportunity to visit countries and immerse themselves in the culture, learn the language and interact with local residents. A large part of this program involves community service including building structures, developing peer relationships, experiencing religion, working with children in local schools and working with the community on service projects. Baseball mentor for young players: Grade 9 -12. I was involved in helping younger players learn skills related to baseball but also help to develop lasting relationships and act as a mentor for those young athletes. Sports: Soccer: 9-12 Baseball: 9-12 Skiing: I am an accomplished skier and have been skiing since I was three years old. In the winters in Maine I ski most weekends. Employment: Falmouth by the Sea Healthcare and Skilled Nursing Facility: Grade 8-present I have worked for this facility for the past 5 years. Since the start of my employment, I have increased my responsibilities to include working in maintenance, painting, gardening, business office and lawn care. As I have gained experience of the years I have increased my responsibilities to include billing and working to admit and discharge residents. Babysitting: Grade 9-12 I have always had a natural love for interacting with children. Since I was a freshman I have worked for many families in my community babysitting on a regular basis. Falmouth By the Sea Nursing Home, volunteer: Grade 9-12 In the activities department at Falmouth By the Sea, I read books to the residents, played games, read them letters from families, took residents for walks and often just listened to their stories of their life and accomplishments.. Foreside Harbor: waiter: Grade 9-11 At Foreside Harbor, an assisted living retirement home, I am a waiter in the main dining room. It has been such a pleasure to serve these customers over the past 4 years.
