Conor Henderson '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Conor Henderson.  There are a lot of details in my life that have influenced me and molded me into the young man I have become today.  My biggest influence is my family.  They do everything in their power to make sure I have everything I need, and support me in every way on and off the field.  I truly found my passion for baseball when I was a little boy.  I remember going in the backyard with my Dad and him teaching me the essentials of baseball, from throwing and catching to my first hit off of the tee.  I was hooked from that moment. 

The most important thing I have noticed about myself is my dedication to baseball.  I would do anything I possibly could to benefit myself and my teammates to get better at the game.  It is my love for baseball that made me this way.

My academic goals for the remainder of high school and into college are to maintain a good GPA and continue to make the Honor Roll each semester.  My goal for college is to be on the Dean’s list.  An obstacle that I have had to overcome as I have grown up is to not get in my own head too much.  Baseball is definitely a mental sport, and I have to work on my mind as well as my skills.

Some of my favorite times playing so far have been being a starter on Varsity my Sophomore year, being named 1^st Team All-Conference and 2^nd Team All-County and making the Maryland State Baseball Team.  I am looking forward to the opportunity to be a part of a college team and making many new memories.
