My Perfect Game Evaluation:
PITCHING: 7
Justin Mackay is a 2021 RHP with a 5-11 151 lb. frame from Lakeville, MA who attends Old Colony Reg Voc Tech. Slender young build with lots of physical development remaining. High hand delivery with a leg swing down the mound, gets coiled and hides the ball well, somewhat cross body out front at release. Fastball topped out at 73 mph, had good cutting action to hit and was throwing for strikes consistently. Curveball was a good secondary pitch with spin and 11/5 depth, comes out of the same slot as his fastball and is effective. Developing change up. Whole key to his development is getting stronger, he already has a solid idea how to pitch.
I was the captain of my school’s culinary team which I lead to a victory in the ProStart State Championship’s in March at Gillette Stadium. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic the National Championship was canceled.
