Personal Statement

My name is Justin MacKay. I completed my 2nd year of ball at Massasoit Community College, Brockton, MA.  I was on the Dean's List for 4-semesters. My GPA is 3.28 .  ERA 2.96 7K/9  .224 OBA

I am currently (Summer  2023) Pitching with the Rockland Cardinals in the Cranberry League.

I have recently started my search for a college to further my education and I wish to continue playing baseball in college.

2019 was a good year I pitched a CG for the Samurai to win the New England 15U Championship.

My High School Highlights are listed below:

My Perfect Game Evaluation:

PITCHING: 7

Justin Mackay is a 2021 RHP with a 5-11  151 lb. frame from Lakeville, MA who attends Old Colony Reg Voc Tech. Slender young build with lots of physical development remaining. High hand delivery with a leg swing down the mound, gets coiled and hides the ball well, somewhat cross body out front at release. Fastball topped out at 73 mph, had good cutting action to hit and was throwing for strikes consistently. Curveball was a good secondary pitch with spin and 11/5 depth, comes out of the same slot as his fastball and is effective. Developing change up. Whole key to his development is getting stronger, he already has a solid idea how to pitch.

I was the captain of my school’s culinary team which I lead to a victory in the ProStart State Championship’s in March at Gillette Stadium.  Unfortunately, due to the pandemic the National Championship was canceled.
