My name is Alex Nealey. I am really excited to start this part of my baseball career with the recruiting process. I am an avid baseball fan and player. I believe that my strong passion for baseball along with my physical talents of having a strong arm and quick hands have allowed me to excel in this sport. I have been fortunate to have had great parents who have made big sacrifices so I could grow up playing baseball my whole life. My parents have made many sacrifices including financial and their time to help me develop as a player. I have set an ambitious goal for the next phase of my life which is to play baseball while I continue my educational career at the university level. As much as I love baseball, my primary focus is my education. I believe that the skills I have learned from being a good teammate along with the work ethic of playing this sport will help me be a successful adult. At this time, I am considering a career as a Department of Natural Resources officer. My father works as a police officer in Detroit, Michigan. Since my mother is a Special Education teacher, my family and I have had the privilege of spending a lot of time in the great outdoors during all seasons. We like spending time in upper Michigan, but my favorite time of the year is winter. I enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing and riding snowmobiles and four-wheelers. I am looking forward to playing my junior year of baseball at Cabrini High School. I feel the hard work I am putting in during this offseason of the Barwis workout and working on my mechanics will help me elevate my game and help my team have a successful season. It will also be the greatest honor of my life to play baseball at the collegiate level. Being able to play at the collegiate level and continue my education would be the best way I can show my parents how much I appreciate the sacrifices they have made for me.
