Hunter Cohoon '24 Recruiting Profile

Reality is fast approaching and it is up to me to make decisions for my future.  I have always been a motivated, self-starter, with ambition to always learn more and be part of something that is way larger than just myself.  With that being said not only have I flourished in my grades throughout my school years, I strive to exceed coaches expectations both on and off the field. Baseball has been my passion but, coming from a small rural town I have had the experience and opportunity to play multiple sports. Besides baseball I played hockey, basketball and football. My parents always supported my enthusiasm in trying out many sports however, baseball was my strongest and favorite followed up with football. Now that I will be choosing a career I know sports is where I belong in one way or another. I have always been the type of person to give one hundred and ten percent towards anything knowing their is always room for improvement. I have been team captain, I have been a team leader, I have been a team inspiration as said by coaches but, I myself know I have a long way to go and have room for growth and development.  Coaches have applauded my ability in being coachable telling me I follow directions, I apply their expertise, I don't give up on myself, I help others to become their best and I continually address drills and learning videos in order to improve my own abilities. For academic reasons I go above and beyond what is expected of me in order to achieve the most out of the lessons being taught. I have been on the student counsel and participated in community volunteer programs to give back to the community that has help support my sports teams. I believe I will be an excellent candidate for your school for academic reasons and to prove to you my dedication to baseball.  I am asking you for the opportunity to prove myself at the next level.
