My name is Evan Larson and I am a freshman at Brighton High School in Brighton, Michigan. I have been playing baseball ever since I was a little kid and love the game more than anyone I know. For the past three years, I have listened, learned, practiced and sharpened my skills as a member of the top-ranked Michigan Bulls. Armed with excellent coaches and high-caliber players, we have been fortunate to claim several Midwestern and National Championship titles. This experience has taught me that the best rewards only come through hard work, commitment, sacrifice, teamwork and leadership. It is my goal to carry these traits beyond baseball and into my everyday life.
One way I am able to do this is by focusing on my family and on my grades. I like to have fun, I smile a lot when I’m playing the game I love, but I also know when it’s time to get serious. Another way I maintain my principles is by participating in Younglife, a faith-based youth group with an emphasis on community service. I believe that my talent, strong character, and work ethic would bring a positive and immediate impact to your program. I want to play baseball at the next level. I am not limiting myself to any particular type of college and if given the opportunity, I am willing to go out-of-state.
