Personal Statement

Participating in high school sports has prepared me immensely for life after high school. Vigorous schedules for academics and athletics has taught me the importance of organization, responsibility and having a hard work ethic. I am a very goal oriented person that strives to be a better athlete, student, and overall person than I was the day before. I have the immediate goal of being an academic scholar athlete and have future aspirations of competing successfully in a collegiate program while achieving my academic goals.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory Tournament at Pirate City - Travis is a coachable MIF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Christmas Camp & Tournament. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a soft stride. He drives through well with his lower half and works through a compact swing. He generates fast bat speed through the zone and produces loud line drives to his pull side. In the field, Travis shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He makes the routine plays and makes accurate throws with carry through his target. Overall, Travis is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

09/20/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Schaumburg (Chicago), IL Travis is an athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 60 time of 6.89. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying outstanding power potential through an athletic, open setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball with gap-to-gap pop. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength throw a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Travis has potential with time and room to progress his game.
