Personal Statement

I have played baseball my whole life, and ever since I stepped onto the diamond I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I am aware the title of a college athlete is not easy to obtain and comes with multiple challenges. However, I have been blessed with many abilities and talents that will help me reach my goal.

I have a value added defensive mindset, aggressive and disciplined bat, mental toughness, and high baseball IQ. I also strive to be a leader on and off the field, as well as encouraging my teammates. My peers would describe me as a humble individual who does not get bothered easily and lets his game talk. I am also a coachable player who listens and makes the necessary adjustments to better my game. Overall, I strive to be the hardest working player and student I can be.

Along with my passion for baseball, I have also participated in basketball, and football. I have played basketball at the grade school, high school, and AAU level where I earned many accolades and life lessons. In high school I was named team captain by my teammates my freshman, sophomore, and junior year. Basketball, as well as football have further taught me to be a leader in roles like point guard and quarterback. My determination in the weight room has also contributed to my athleticism in many ways.

In the classroom, I study and grind hard to maintain a 3.8 GPA, while balancing sports. I was accepted into the National Honors Society my junior year, which is responsible for completing seven volunteer hours a month. I also teach vacation bible school and coach multiple youth camps, including basketball. I also give volunteer time to my church, St. John Lutheran Church.

I want to attend a college where it is the right fit. Where I can push myself to the extreme in the classroom and on the baseball field. I am open to all options and to find the right college with the highest level of competition possible. I hope to carry over my skills and qualities to my peers, and show them what I am made of.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
