There's a difference between real baseball players and guys just stepping onto the field to have fun. Yes, baseball is very fun, but not only am I having fun out on the field I'm working hard, but I'm also pushing myself, and most of all I always show effort. I don't want to be the third-best kid on the field or the second-best kid on the field, I want to be the best kid out there. I know I'm not the best and there are always people out there that are better, but I want to think to myself that I can be the best someday but I have to work for it. What makes me different from other players is that I show leadership and dedication out on the field. Being a catcher I have to be the one out there that shows leadership and keeps the game in control. Being a catcher I always have to know what's going on in the game and I have to know if something is wrong. I have to pay attention to my pitcher to make sure he is alright and if not I have to go out and talk to him. Being a catcher is fun, you touch the ball every play, you get dirty, you get to throw the ball hard to second, you get to talk to the umpire most of the game, and being the catcher you get to see the whole field. Getting on the subject of school, I have to be honest I don't really like school. Going to school and being with my friends is fun but doing school work isn't really a fun thing for me. I mean there are some things I learn about that are actually interesting but most of the time it's not. Even though it's boring I always try my best and work hard to get good grades, I don't get straight A's but I get A's and B's. I'm still not really sure what I want to do when I grow up but I think I want to do something that is involved with sports. So maybe like an athletic trainer or something. Some goals I have are to get into a good college that has a baseball team that I can play on and get to know the guys and have fun with them. I also want to graduate with a degree that will later succeed in life.
