Personal Statement

Baseball has always been a huge part of my life! As a newborn, I spent my first summer on the road while my 12-year-old brother won States in Michigan with my dad as the coach. My parents could tell early on that I couldn’t wait to get on the field myself and when I was very young, I began my journey as a baseball player. I have always been a leader on every team I’ve played on and it is important to me to keep the moral of the players positive no matter what is going on in the game. I pride myself on good sportsmanship and working together with my teammates to make us the best that we can be on and off the field. I am a strong 1st baseman who rarely lets the ball get away from me and I’ve played some 3rd base and catcher as well. My biggest asset is that I am a powerful hitter. I can pull the ball and go opposite field and I'm a strong multiple base hitter. My batting average as a freshman and sophomore led the team as well as my number of RBI’s and on base percentage. Unfortunately, I broke my leg during my first at bat for summer baseball during my junior year sliding into 2nd base so my stats from last year aren't the normal for me. I have worked extremely hard for the past 9 months to heal and strengthen my leg and I'm ready for the season. In the classroom I work extremely hard to be a good student and I’m not afraid to ask for help if I need it. Since elementary, I have been in many teacher chosen leadership positions and clubs at school and at church where I do community service and help people of all ages. I hope to continue doing those services in college. I would love the opportunity to share more about who I am and how I may be a good addition to a college team.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
