My name is Garrett Johnson. I am currently a senior at Duluth East High School and play both baseball and hockey. I have been playing baseball for as long as I can remember. I absolutely love the game of baseball and I am hopeful and excited to continue playing baseball at the collegiate level. I am 6’6 195 lb left handed pitcher and first baseman.
My ultimate college goal is to enter the medical field. My plan is to major in science and mathematics to help pave my way to medical school. I am open to different types of school at this time, but I am hoping to take classes that would benefit my passion for medicine.
I currently live in the midwest, so attending a school in this area would be ideal. However, the thought of going to college somewhere with nice weather and easy access to outside baseball year round is very appealing to me too!
I have played baseball and hockey since I was about four years old. Playing on sports teams all my life has prepared me for the dedication I will need to be a successful baseball player at the highest level possible. I have been fortunate to have some amazing coaches and I am always ready to try something new to improve my baseball skills and grow as an athlete.
I am confident that I have the athletic ability and determination to play baseball at the next level. I am not afraid to work hard and I know I can bring a positive influence to a college baseball team. I would be honored to be a part of a college baseball team and I will carry myself with the dignity and respect my teammates and coaches deserve.
