I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
I wish to be a part of a team first culture. I find it can be toxic to have a "team" full of "individuals".
My future goals for college are to get an education in Sports Management. College is a growth period mentally and physically and I will work to be an asset to the team. What pushes me to play best are my failures, I am willing to work as hard as possible to be successful. Recently not satisfied with my size, I have hit the gym hard and been able to put on lean muscle. I continue to grow and get stronger weekly; this will help me achieve athletic goals. I also am working to grow academically and want to be a positive leader my coaches and team can be proud of and respect as I lead thru example.
I have played primarily SS throughout my career but have played and know every position. I have a strong swing and good batting skills. I believe I am a very talented athlete with a lot of upside. I am quick defensively and know how to use my glove and can make the difficult throws.
About me, I love to play both baseball and football and playing at US Bank my junior year in the State Semi-Finals for football was one of my favorite highlights. I love what sports have given to me, confidence, work ethic and lifelong friendships. I am a student leader and have served my school on student council. I have the courage to take leadership on the field. I think what makes me different from other athletes is that I’m willing to stay after a tough practice to keep my skills sharp; by taking batting practice and extra infield work, so I can help my team in the best way. I will not get discouraged by mistakes or disappoints but work harder. Baseball after all is about a lot more failures than successes. Academically in the classroom, I stay quiet so I can listen and get as much info as possible so I can do better on tests and homework. These and my Christ first attitude are the qualities that make me stand out from other players and students.
