100% effort 100% of the time. I think that sums me up. I always work hard in everything I do. I will admit that this is nothing that I really think about too much, it is just the way I am. So far, it has worked well. In school I have taken very challenging classes, enriched English and Math, AP Chemistry and AP Human Geography as a sophomore. So far I am getting As or A-s in all classes. It is definitely hard and I need to manage my time, but giving it my all feels good and to be pretty successful has been worth it. In sports I have been recognized in a couple ways. I secured a spot on the varsity baseball roster as a freshman and was given the Cougar Award at the end of the year. This is the only award chosen by the coaches and means that I displayed the attributes of hard work, dedication and being a good teammate. No matter what position I was asked to play, or if I played on JV or was sitting out, I always gave it my all. In football, I was chosen by my teammates to be the 11th grade representative of the football leadership team next year. I think they know that I will represent them well and set a good example for the younger kids on the team. This effort was shown in my basketball season, where as a point guard I was second on the team in assists, but led the team in rebounds and taking charges. I believe this shows my tenacity in getting to the rim for rebounds and never giving up on a possession, but also my basketball IQ in knowing when to get in position to draw the offensive foul. I believe in working on the mental side of every sport I play, as well as the physical side. My drive for dedication is also the reason that I have signed up for to be part of this recruiting process, it seems like this is the way to be “all in”. I know that there are other athletes who are more talented, but I know there are very few who will give you the effort that I will give, on the field, in the weight room, in the community and in the classroom. 100% effort, 100% of the time. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. If I seem like a player that would meet your needs, I would love to talk to you and hear about the opportunity and see if it is a good fit. Good luck as you fill your roster.
